Grupo Cal Parent
Cal Parent Group is a group of hotels and family restaurants that has been around for over 150 years, located in the village of Besalú, a medieval town in the region of La Garrotxa, in an excellent location.
The group consists of la Fonda Siqués, from the nineteenth century, the Comte Tallaferro hotel, placed in a building that is declared a National Historic-Artistic set and the Can Güell Hotel Resort, which has spacious and comfortable rooms that provide the maximum comfort.
The town of Besalú is situated on an important and traditional crossroads in the east of La Garrotxa. Bisuldunum, its original name, was a fortress between two rivers: the Fluvià to the south and the Capellades to the north.
Besalú was an important independent county. Its historic-medieval art is considered as one of the best preserved in Catalonia. Part of this heritage can be seen in the old church of the monastery of Sant Pere from the XII century, which highlights the originality of its ambulatory, the church of San Vincente from the XII century, which retains a lateral gothic chapel dedicated to Vera Cruz, the facade of the old church of Sant Julia hospital, from the XII century, the house Cornellà Romanesque and the Gothic hall of la Curia real.
